"No matter where you are, you can ask Professor Yunus about Social Business Design Lab or anything related to Social Business. There will be a Q&A session at the final session of 11th Social Business Design Lab where he will answer you directly on air."
So,
In 2006 a proposal for a social business approach to international development described as 'Microeconomic Development and Social Enterprise: A 'Marshall Plan' for Ukraine was submitted to Ukraine's government. In 2007 it was published online and early in 2008 it was introduced to USAID.
Recently USAID who had told us there was no budget for retarded children established a social business partnership in Brazil.
The primary objective was to remove children from abuse and malnutrition in state care, as Grameen Danone makes its "bottom line" the number of children taken out of malnutrtion.
It came from a UK social enterprise which makes 100% of income from sales and distributes no dividends, investing all surplus revenue for social objectives.
In 2006 the Social Enterprise Coalition in the UK had told us this work was beyond their current focus.
In 2008 it was put forward for the EU citizens consultation. In 2009 it was introduced to B Labs and Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Unite charity.
In 2010 following the social business tour of Budapest, it was introduced in the Social Business Ideas competition to both Erste Bank and Grameen Creative Labs. It wa also introduced to the British Council with an application for partnership ( we are a supplier of software products to the British Council and Grameen partner BASF)
In 2011 our founder and architect of this initiative died, as I had found him in 2003, homeless and in poverty
Since then the model of a social enterprise development centre it proposed at Kharkiv National University has been established in both Nothampton and Glasgow Caledonian universities.
"The University of Northampton's Changemaker Campus status is a manifestation of the University's commitment to its mission and values, and to promote social entrepreneurship, collaboration, and innovation for positive social change."
The argument made that capitalism could be focussed on resolving social problems is widely supported today by business schools.
Today at the beginning of 2014 - Academics from around the world are calling for a 'Marshall Plan' to help Ukraine establish true democracy.

I quote Axiom News from a 2010 interview:
"Hallman is currently investigating the setup of a multi-million dollar fund offering split financial ROI if needed, that is, a portion to investor(s) and the remainder to P-CED.
The funds will be directed to concluding a project in Ukraine which involves funding the training of residents to develop social businesses. Included in this work is supporting children who have disabilities, many of whom have been left to die in secretive locations. P-CED is helping to move these children to safety and give them access to modern healthcare."
My question should be obvious - just what does it take to find collaboration in social business?
